How do you feel about asking for help?

“It takes a village to run your life,” my Mom used to joke. To be honest, this made me feel a little awkward and uncomfortable, as though there was something wrong with me that I needed help, whether it was an au-pair to help with my kids when they were young, or hiring a housekeeper so I had more time to spend with my kids at the weekend, after a crazy work week.

But when I read Michael Lewis’s book, Making Winners, recently, something clicked for me.
