What Have You Done For Me Lately? aka The Postmortem

Jo Ilfeld | Executive Leadership Coach| The Value of Anticipation

Like many at the start of the pandemic, I bet you were great about checking in with your team, making sure things were working or corrected. Yet now that you have been in it two months or more, chances are you have gotten a lot less consistent about checking in.

Watch this learning snack for how best to do a postmortem using the STOP START CONTINUE method

My challenge for you this week is to set aside 15 to 20 mins for a postmortem. Ask your team what you need to start doing, what is no longer working and needs to stop and what is working well and worth continuing.

Tip: Ask your team to write out their answers to this before the meeting to keep things on track.

If you, or your team, need more help to perform at the highest levels – let’s talk.
