Ambition vs. Gratitude

Jo Ilfeld | Ambition |Executive Leadership Coach| Ambition vs. Gratitude

Ambition vs. gratitude and the tension between the two.

Do you feel that there is so much in your life that is going well and yet you still want something more? And then you feel guilty because you feel you are not grateful enough for what you do have?

Many of my clients feel this way so, in this video, I address that tension or pull that exists between ambition and gratitude. I use Peter Senge’s elastic band analogy to demonstrate as it’s so good.

Personally, I don’t think you need to apologize or feel guilty for wanting more, whether that’s a bigger goal, more learning, or wanting to create a bigger impact on the world. I think you can still be grateful for where you are right now.

How about you? Do you feel this same tension?
